The right support can change everything…

It can be difficult to understand why your child may not be progressing as expected, or how best to support them at home without an educational background.

Even parents with professional experience often value the objectivity of a specialist teacher who can focus purely on their child’s needs while they manage the many other demands of family life.

Many families simply want an experienced professional to help their child rebuild confidence and develop the skills they need to succeed.

Parents should not have to become education experts just to help their child succeed. We work alongside parents and provide the missing support that children and families crave.

Our Simple Process

STEP 1

Initial Consultation

We begin with a discovery call or educational consultation to understand your child’s strengths, challenges, learning style and goals.

STEP 2

Careful Tutor Matching

Your child is matched with a tutor who has the right expertise, personality and teaching approach to support them effectively. If a match does not feel right, we will always work with you to find a better fit.

STEP 3

Getting Started

The first sessions focus on building trust, understanding your child’s learning profile and identifying priority areas for development. Our sessions are fun and engaging. Often children will recognise that they are learning from the first session.

STEP 4

Progress and Communication

We provide regular feedback so you understand how your child is progressing and how best to support them between sessions. We will always be honest about whether tutoring is likely to help and how long support may be needed.

“My child’s confidence improved within weeks. The personalised support made a huge difference and we finally felt someone understood their needs.”

Who we work with

We support children who:

  • Have dyslexia or literacy difficulties

  • Have lost confidence in learning

  • Need exam preparation support

  • Would benefit from personalised teaching

  • Are academically capable but underperforming or losing confidence in their abilities

  • Need extra GCSE English support

  • Need a more personalised approach

Some children benefit from short blocks of targeted sessions, while others need longer support. Our aim is always meaningful progress, not unnecessary sessions.

Tutoring can be short term or longer term depending on your child’s needs. Many parents are surprised by the progress that can be made in a relatively small number of carefully targeted sessions. This is because high quality tutoring is tailored specifically to how your child learns best.

Insight from my work with parent carers

Transforming not just the outcomes of neurodivergent students, but the confidence of the families supporting them

Through my work with families, I have seen how much parent carers carry — practically, emotionally and mentally.

A parent carer is not just a mother or father. They are also coordinators, advocates, organisers and protectors. With this role often comes paperwork, appointments, uncertainty and difficult decisions.

Many parents tell me they feel guilty about the things they haven’t managed to do yet — the forms still waiting, the emails unanswered, the support not yet secured. Some quietly wonder if they are failing because they cannot manage everything perfectly.

This is often misplaced guilt

Families do not need more pressure. They need understanding, clear guidance and practical support.

Many parents I work with are already doing far more than they realise. Sometimes what helps most is having an experienced professional alongside you to help make things clearer and more manageable.

“When we become a parent carer, we are suddenly thrown into a confusing world of high demands, therapies, appointments, worries about the future and low resources.” - Psychologist and parent carer Joanna Griffin

The right support can make things feel clearer, calmer and more achievable for both you and your child.
